Firefighters tackled a blaze at a storage building belonging to a funeral service in Kettering in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, January 16).
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire at the Co-operative Funeralcare property in London Road at 3.37am.
One crew from Kettering and a second from Burton Latimer used hose reels to extinguish the fire before ventilating the property.
A spokesman for the fire service said the fire was in a 75 sq m (800 sq ft) single-storey building which was being used for storage.
“There was moderate damage caused to the building by fire, heat and smoke,” the spokesman said. “The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
