A group of dancers have the chance to shine in the national limelight as they appear in the grand final of a national hunt for the best variety acts.

The 19 members – 17 girls and two boys – of the MaSh Dance Poptarts, in Kettering, will be appearing at the Watford Palace Theatre in the final of the Britain Does Variety competition on Saturday, June 22, after coming through their regional heats earlier this month.

Their performance, where they will be competing alongside about 30 other groups, is to be broadcast on Showcase, Sky channel 191.

Among the judges at the grand final is Giles Cooper, executive producer for the Royal Variety Performance.

Their teacher Lisa Tartaglia said: “The majority of the Poptarts have been together since 2009 from the age of six and a few have joined along the way.”
