Kettering Council’s refuse and recycling vehicles are again operational and working hard to complete today’s collections and empty as many bins and boxes as operationally possible.

A spokesman for the council said: “Some streets remain inaccessible and we request residents who do not receive a collection today (Wednesday), to leave their bins and boxes at their kerbside collection point and we will keep returning until collections are complete.

“For any resident who did not receive a collection on Monday, January 21, we hope to complete all outstanding that we are able to access by tomorrow.

“During today and Thursday we will be returning to Desborough, Burton Latimer, Cransley and Mawsley for the remainder of the grey wheeled bins and red and blue boxes.

“All collections are dependant upon weather conditions for vehicle and foot access, please leave bins and boxes out and we will keep returning until all collections are complete.”

The council spokesman added: “We apologise that presently we are unable to collect the black wheeled bins in Braybrooke and rural locations and again will return when operationally access is available.

“We would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding during the adverse weather conditions.”
