A Corby mum-of-two who is carving out a career as a Duchess of Cambridge lookalike is set to be given the red carpet treatment in the town at the weekend.
Heidi Agan, of Oakley Vale, will be arriving at H Samuel jewellers in Corporation Street at midday on Saturday (March 23) in a 1963 silver Rolls Royce to take part in the store’s wedding event.
After customers at Frankie and Bennys in Kettering started begging to be served “by Kate Middleton”, Heidi joined a lookalike agency last year and jobs started pouring in.
Now that the Duchess of Cambridge is around five-and-a-half-months pregnant, Heidi is having to make the necessary adjustments to her wardrobe.
Dawn Kemp, assistant manager at the store and a friend of Heidi’s, said: “We’ll have to wait and see how she looks, but we will be giving her a royal welcome.
“We’re rolling out the red carpet and Jordan McIntyre, who is 13 and lives in Corby, will be presenting her with a posy. If people are planning a wedding they won’t want to miss this.”
The event will take place at the shop on Friday (March 22) and Saturday when people are invited to go along for help and advice on planning a wedding.
Among the local companies taking part are Bonnie Brides, Sugar Smith, Vanity Fair hair and beauty saloon, Bridal Carriages, Flowers of Corby and Elegant Events. There will also be a prize draw and discounts.
