Corby residents are invited to celebrate the start of the London 2012 Olympics at the weekend at an event outside the Cube.
The free family day will run on Saturday and Sunday (July 28 and July 29), from 9am until 6pm.
Residents are invited to take their deckchairs and a picnic and enjoy all the Olympics action on a big screen.
As well as being able to enjoy the live feed, on Saturday from 10am until 2pm local sports clubs will be demonstrating their sport and encouraging people to have a go.
On Sunday youngsters will have the opportunity to join in some traditional playground games and see an Olympic exhibition provided by the Corby Heritage Centre.
Corby Council’s lead member for community, Cllr John McGhee, said: “The countdown for the London 2012 Olympic Games is finally over and this is a great way to get the community together and celebrate Corby’s love of sport.
“I hope to see lots of residents getting into the spirit of things and hopefully the sun will keep on shining for the fantastic weekend ahead.”
