Jobs to go at travel firm’s Kettering office

Around 25 jobs are set to go at a travel agent’s call centre in Kettering.

International Cruise and Excursions (ICE), a United States-based company, has decided to close its offices in Kettering and Cork, shifting the company’s focus to London.

Warren Joy, senior vice president at ICE, said the company had offered Kettering staff the chance to relocate, but was not expecting anybody to take up the offer.

He said: “We’ve offered some new roles to staff at Kettering and a relocation package, but Kettering is around two hours from Stanmore so I’m not really expecting anyone to make the move.”
