A town is in line for a jobs boost with the announcement that a huge factory has been leased to a logistics company.
Logistics provider Great Bear has bought a lease at the 153,000 square ft factory in Prologis Park, near Glendon, just outside Kettering.
About 10 new jobs will be created, with several workers moving over from the Great Bear’s other factory in Desborough.
Andrew Griffiths, managing director of Prologis UK, said: “With this agreement, all available space at Prologis Park Kettering has been let.
“The 123,000 square ft facility was the last building in our UK development portfolio and this is now fully leased.”
The factory will also encompass a 30,000 square ft extension that, subject to planning permission, will be completed in October.
David Williams, managing director of Great Bear, said: “This new distribution centre is in an ideal location for our business.
“We needed a new facility at short notice and Prologis has been able to provide an excellent solution within a tight timeframe.”
