Employees of Tresham College have been told they are at risk of redundancy.

The college, which has campusesin Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough, said 29 members of staff are at risk from restructuring plans – though it says there is no indication that number will be let go.

The statement said that Tresham would try to find alternative roles for affected staff, adding: “Alternative provision for any students will be pursued at other colleges to minimise any impact they may experience.”

Principal Stuart Wesselby said: “Unfortunately we have had to suffer continued reductions in government funding for our students aged 16 and over that we cannot absorb into the day to day running of the college.”
