Jewellery, laptops and cash taken in Wymington burglary

Thieves stole jewellery, two laptops, cash and bank cards from a house after breaking in through a kitchen window.

Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary at a property in Rushden Road, Wymington, on Thursday, May 8.

The burglary took place sometime between 8am and 1.05pm when the offenders got into the back garden of the house before forcing open a kitchen window.

A police spokesman said: “Once inside, the offenders carried out a search of the house and removed numerous items including gold earrings and bracelets, Dell and Asus laptop computers, a digital camera, a wallet containing bank cards, cash and a car key before fleeing the property.”

Detective Constable Surinder Ram, who is investigating the incident, is keen to hear from anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area or may have seen the offenders before or after the raid.
