Friday is Jeans for Genes Day and the Northamptonshire Telegraph is asking people taking part to send in photos of their denim-clad events.

Jeans for Genes Day raises money for Genetic Disorders UK and aims to change the world for children with genetic disorders.

Individually, genetic disorders are rare but together they affect 1 in 25 children born in the UK - that’s more than 30,000 babies each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest cause of death of children aged 14 years and under.

The event always gets a good response from people in Northamptonshire and we would like to see how you marked the day at your workplace, school or college.

Among those taking part this year will be members of staff at Corby Borough Council, students at Ferrers Specialist Arts College and staff at Active Support Service, Kettering.

If you’re turning the area blue send your photos by email to nt.newsdesk@northantsnews.co.uk
