Jasmine Ghayour raised £300 for the Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Appeal by doing a static cycle ride.

Jasmine, 16, who is a pupil at Montsaye Academy in Rothwell, cycled 100 miles a week for four weeks on a static bike at Balance gym in Kettering to raise money for the Wellingborough-based cause.

She said: “I wanted a challenge and to raise money for a local charity that would hugely help local people.

“I chose Crazy Hats because it is a brilliant charity that not only supports local people, but has also helped a family member and friends.”

Crazy Hats founder Glennis Hooper said the charity was grateful for Jasmine’s efforts.

She said: “From our point of view we are thrilled that the younger members of the community are supporting us – we are very proud of Jasmine for her great efforts.”
