A man from Irthlingborough is £10,000 richer thanks to Confused.com, after being announced as a weekly winner in the leading price comparisons site’s £Million Mega Draw.
Andrew Wilkes-Lilley, 45, won the money by buying his motor insurance policy via Confused.com during the second week of August, entering himself into a prize draw for a weekly prize of £10,000 – and a grand prize of one million pounds.
Mr Wilkes-Lilley said: “When I received the phone call from Confused.com, to tell me that I’d won the £10,000, my first reaction was that someone was playing a joke on me. I couldn’t quite believe what I was being told.
“I’m absolutely delighted to have won such a fantastic amount of money. You hear of people winning these competitions but never think it’s going to happen to you.
“I’ve always shopped around for my insurance and Confused.com were by far the most competitive this time around. Plus, Brian the Robot also makes me chuckle every time I see him.”
When asked how he would spend the £1m, if he were lucky enough to win that as well, Andrew replied: “The first thing I would do is buy my family a holiday home. I’ve always wanted to own somewhere in Mijas, southern Spain, so winning the million would be the perfect opportunity to do that.
Confused.com has launched the £Million Mega Draw to give one lucky person the chance to win a million pounds by buying a car, home, life or travel insurance policy. The campaign, fronted by brand icon Bian the Robot, will also offer a weekly prize of £10,000 for 13 weeks, making 13 a lucky number for some customers.

We have had a lot of support and loyalty from our customers over the years since we launched Confused.com, and wanted to show our appreciation through this giveaway.
“The £Million Mega Draw has been a great success so far, and we’re really excited that by the end of the promotion we’ll have made 13 of our customers £10,000 richer, as well as making someone a millionaire.
