Investigation ongoing into man’s death in Rushden car park

Police say they have had a good response to appeals for information about the death of Lorenzo Gallucci in Rushden.

Mr Gallucci, 60, who was known as Spud, died after being in collision with a car in the car park of the Splash pool in Station Road in the early hours of Sunday, September 21.

The police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward, particularly anyone who was drinking in the nearby Band Club on the night or those who were in the swimming pool car park.

A police spokesman said: “We have had a good response from the public following our requests for information about this incident.

“Our investigations are continuing and we would encourage anybody with any further information about the events of that night to come forward and get in touch with us.”

A 25-year-old man from London was arrested shortly after the incident, but was released on bail pending further enquiries.
