Tenants of the Wellingborough Innovation Centre hub based in Tresham College’s Church Street building have been sent the letters telling them it would be closed by May.
The Innovation Centre opened in March 2003 and is the result of a partnership between Oxford Innovation, Wellingborough Council and Tresham College.
The hub provides more than 6,000 sq ft of office space.
Tresham says it needs the extra space to provide courses for an increased number of students.
Tresham principal Stuart Wesselby said: “Tresham has already begun to develop its provision at the Wellingborough campus by introducing new courses in hairdressing, beauty, art and plastering and more is planned for the near future.
“With the increased number of students studying at our campus, we now need all of the teaching facilities available at our campus in Church Street which includes the space currently occupied by the Innovation Centre.
“Tresham is working with Wellingborough Council and representatives from Oxford Innovation to find suitable buildings for the 11 organisations based within the centre in Church Street before May 31.”
