A vintage charity day has raised more than £500 for a children’s heart charity.

The fundraiser, which took place at the North Park Pavilion in Weekley Glebe Road, Kettering, on Saturday, August 9, raised a total of £507.28 for Little Hearts Matter.

The charity offers support and information and also raises awareness on behalf of those affected when a child has only half a heart.

One of the organisers of the 1940s-style tea party, Jo Murray, said: “Hopefully there is still more to come. It was a great success.”

She has also thanked guest “wartime” singer Pete Wayre for providing the afternoon’s entertainment.
