More than £900 was raised at the second annual football match held in memory of a boy who drowned in a tragic accident last August.

The game organised in memory of Dylan Cecil, four, of Kettering, who drowned while on holiday in Burnham-on-Sea, took place on Saturday at Kennedy’s Bar in Finedon.

The teams – the Angry Birds and Team Sonics after Dylan’s favourite computer game characters – included Dylan’s family members and friends. The Sonics retained the shield with a 7-5 win. Cash from the game will go to a new charity being set up in Dylan’s memory to help underprivileged families by giving them a holiday in Burnham-on-Sea.
