Another sell-out crowd cheered on 10 brave amateur dancers and their partners at the second Strictly Corby Dancing event.
Four hundred people packed into the Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel last night (October 19) to support the 10 local celebrities and their professional partners as they took part in the event in aid of Lakelands Hospice.
The dancers had put in hours of practise and now was the time to impress the judges and the audience with their foxtrots and quick steps.
Waltzing off with the title were Amanda Marlow, of Tollers, and her partner Anthony Bazin. The runners-up were Scott Garden, of Tata Steel, amd his partner Shelley Davis.
Community fundraiser for Lakelands, Paul Marlow, said: “It was another fantastic night and a sell-out. All the dancers were amazing on the night.
“So far we have raised more than £16,000, which is 50 per cent up on last year. It was a typical Lakelands night, it is always so humbling how the people of Corby get behind us.”
