Housing development in the pipeline

ALMOST 30 new homes could be built on old farmland.

A planning application has been submitted to Kettering Council for 26 houses on land at White Lodge Farm, in Burton Latimer.

The application has been submitted by Grace Homes, who have another outstanding proposal in the area near to the farm for 14 homes.

Work is expected to start on that application in the coming weeks.

Now, the developers are looking to get outline planning permission for 26 more homes in the area.

A junction with Higham Road, in Burton Latimer, will link the houses.

In a document sent to Kettering Council, the developer said: “The site is currently lying vacant and redundant and its former use is no longer appropriate by virtue of the close proximity of the residential developments occurring on the adjacent sites.

“The proposal will deliver appropriate and high quality housing, including affordable homes, in a sustainable location to Burton Latimer.”

The report and application is expected to be discussed by Kettering Cocuncil officers later in the summer.
