People are being asked to hold fundraising events during Lakelands Week to support the Corby hospice.
The campaign starts on Monday and runs until Sunday, October 7. The aim of the week is to raise awareness of the hospice, in Butland Road, and generate funds.
Lakelands community fundraiser Paul Marlow said: “In order to do this, we want to really involve the community and encourage as many people and organisations as possible to join in with the week. We are promoting the week with a tag-line Funded by the Community, For the Community. The focus of the week will be our roadshow-style trailer and there will be events in Corby town centre.
“Every day we will be in the shopping centre with entertainment, including our Strictly Corby dancers who will be giving a sneak preview of their dancing skills. There will also be nurses to talk to, tea and cake, competitions, merchandise, a raffle draw and much more.
“We are also asking people to hold events to raise funds for us during the week and if anyone can help we would love to hear from them.”
