A homebuilder will hand over hundreds of thousands of pounds to schools in Northamptonshire as part of a deal to build new homes in Broughton.
Redrow has permission to build 60 homes on land at Cox’s Lane and will be investing almost £750,000 locally.
Work on the nine-acre development, known as Cransley Green, will start early in the new year.
The cash is from a Section 106 agreement made with Kettering Council, which obliges developers to make contributions to cancel out negative effects of development.
Redrow will pay more than £70,000 towards highways and pay for £9,000 of bus vouchers.
Contributions will be made to the fire and rescue service and to provide and maintain open space.
