Staff at a sandwich emporium are celebrating after being awarded the highest possible food hygiene rating.
Mrs B’s Sandwich Emporium in Rushden High Street received five stars under the Food Standards Agency’s food hygiene rating scheme following a spot inspection.
Owner Elaine Buckby said: “We’re really pleased to have been awarded the top rating.
“Last time we got four stars because we had just had a new member of staff start and she had not completed her training. It was so frustrating to miss out just because of that and all of us are really pleased to have got five stars this time.
“It recognises the hard work we put in. I’m really grateful to my staff for their dedication.”
The shop has been open more than five years and regularly updates its selection of sandwiches, treats and savoury snacks to meet customer demand.
Mrs Buckby said: “Cakes seem to be the big thing at the minute. We’ve also just started supplying cakes to a tea room in Brigstock.”
