An anti-bullying charity has revealed it received 330 calls from people in Northamptonshire this year.
BullyingUK, which is run by Family Lives, received the calls to its free helpline from our county between January and November.
Of those, the charity said that 21 calls were about the behaviour of children up to the age of 12. A further 17 calls were about childhood bullying and 51 people phoned about the behaviour of teenagers. There were 57 calls from parents to express concern about their child’s emotional and mental health and 184 parents called regarding their own emotional well-being.
A national survey showed that, while cyber-bullying was increasing, physical bullying was also still a major problem.
