People in Corby are being given the opportunity to shape the future of healthcare in the area.
NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is holding an event on Thursday, May 1, from 6pm until 8pm, at the council chamber in The cube to outline its two-year operational plan.
NHS Corby CCG, the organisation responsible for commissioning healthcare services for the residents of Corby, meet members of the public quarterly to discuss local issues.
At this, the seventh run by the group, commissioners will demonstrate how they have listened to feedback from previous events and used this to help shape their commissioning plans for local health services for 2014-15.
Dr Peter Wilczynski, chairman of NHS Corby CCG, said: “To deliver our plans in the best possible way, we must involve patients, carers, family members, healthcare professionals and the community. We need to work together to ensure our plans reflect the needs of the population we serve. We welcome people, young and old, to our public event to hear our plans and tell us their views”.
The event is free and includes tea and coffee. Registration will take place from 5.45pm. To book a place please call 01604 651744 or email email@example.com. People can also submit questions they would like answered at the event by emailing them by Monday, April 28.
