Workers at Henson Court in Kettering organised a sponsored walk around Sywell Country Park for people with autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

Six service users from Henson Court and Windsor Avenue, Desborough, completed the three-mile walk on Saturday, July 12, to raise money for Cransley Hospice.

Worker Hanna Farthing, who helped organise the walk, said: “Although it was hot from the start, we had our drinks and sun cream at the ready.

“Working together our two homes managed to complete the whole course, and it was safe to say all were pleased to see the café at the end for a nice cold drink and ice cream.

“With lots of short breaks and continue encouragement and brilliant teamwork from all we were able to complete the course in an amazing one hour and 32 minutes.”

A grand total of £555 is going to be donated to Cransley Hospice on Thursday, August 14.
