Fundraiser Darren Philip hasn’t had a haircut for two years – but this weekend he’ll be losing the lot.
On Saturday, the 39-year-old engineer is to have his hair shaved to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Last month Darren, of Welland Vale Road, Corby, completed the Great North Run in Newcastle and raised more than £300 for the charity.
He was inspired to support Macmillan Cancer Support by his mum Pat Philip’s successful battle against breast cancer.
He said: “After doing the Great North Run, I decided to do something else to raise funds and came up with the head shave. I’m not bothered about how I will look because I used to be a skinhead.”
