Anyone with questions about lung cancer is welcome to step on board a free information service that will be in Wellingborough next week.
November is lung cancer awareness month and the Macmillan Mobile Information and Support Centre is visiting the town from 9am to 3pm on Tuesday (November 5). Lung cancer is among the UK’s most common cancers, with more than 40,000 people diagnosed every year.
Service manager for the Macmillan Mobile Information and Support Service, Helen Tuvey, said: “If you have any questions about lung cancer, our team of cancer information specialists is here to help. We can provide information and advice about lung cancer, or any other cancer, on board our bus.
“No appointment is necessary, and our service is completely free and confidential.”
The bright green bus, staffed by cancer information specialists, will be parked next to the Pagoda in Orient Way.
If you are unable to visit the mobile information centre but require information about cancer, call Macmillan free on 0808 808 00 00 (Monday to Friday, 9am-8pm) or visit macmillan.org.uk
