A diet firm based in Corby has won a place in a prestigious list of booming companies.
The Sunday Times list of the country’s top 200 international sales stars features Cambridge Manufacturing Company, which makes diet food from its base in Brakey Road, Corby.
The company, which employs 160 people, recorded international sales figures of more than £9 million over the past two years, growth of 48 per cent. Its total sales including those to the UK were £31.4 million.
The firm is at number 80 in the new league table and now plans to expand across Europe by opening offices in Marbella, Spain, and in Germany.
In the past year its controversial low calorie diet plans have attracted support from celebrities including cast members from reality drama The Only Way Is Essex.
People on the diet eat between 440 calories to 1500 calories each day from a selection of soups, bars, porridge and shakes which are nutritionally balanced to provide the recommended daily allowance of vitamins and minerals.
The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 will be published in full this weekend.
