People will be asked what they think is needed to make their estate a good place to live at a community fun day.
Residents of the Hemmingwell estate are invited to the community event taking place in and around the Hemmingwell Community and Skills Centre in Nest Farm Crescent on Saturday, July 16.
There will be fun and games on offer during the event, which is being organised by the Safer, Stronger Neighbourhood Partnership.
Attractions will include sports taster sessions, a graffiti wall, free raffle with a chance to win a brand new bedroom suite donated by Goodwill Solutions CIC, a bouncy castle and face painting.
There will also be a wide range of stalls with lots of free giveaways, as well as a barbecue, cakes and drinks.
Among the special guests on the day will be Wellingborough mayor Cllr Malcolm Waters, as well as Peppa Pig and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
Members of the Wellingborough Safer Community Team and the Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service will also be there to speak to people.
Inspector Lara Alexander-Lloyd is vice chairman of the Wellingborough Community Safety Partnership, and she hopes people will enjoy the day.
She said: “We are hoping that people will come out and enjoy the activities taking place throughout the day and take some time to get to meet their local officers and other people working in the community.
“We will be asking people what they want from the Hemmingwell Community and Skills Centre and the Safer, Stronger Partnership.
“We also want people to volunteer so that they can support each other and work with all the agencies to make Hemmingwell a good place to live.”
The community fun day is taking place from midday until 4pm on Saturday, July 16.
