A town’s supermarket is hosting a Halloween fun day this week to raise funds for charity.

Kettering’s Sainsbury’s store will host the event instore on Wednesday, October 31, from 11am to 5pm, with free face painting for children and a tombola to raise funds for the superstore’s charity of the year, SERV.

SERV is a team of emergency volunteer riders who transport blood, vaccines, and other medical items.

Store manager Matt Short said: “Here at Sainsbury’s Kettering we are once again reaching out to our community with a Halloween filled fun day for all the local children, and making it happen for our local charity SERV, by way of generous donations from the children for having their faces painted by the colleagues here at the store.”
