The founder of a Great Doddington charity has spoken of her delight after the charity’s first fundraiser raised £3,000.

Julia Kelly, who was in a car crash in 2005, set up the charity A Way With Pain at the end of last year to help people who suffer from chronic pain.

The charity held its first fundraiser on Tuesday, July 16, holding a special golf day fundraiser at Overstone Park Golf Course, in Northampton.

Mrs Kelly said she was delighted with the amount raised and the amount of people who attended. She added that because of the success they will look to stage the event again next year.
