A FARM park will stage a host of activities for children over the Easter bank holiday weekend.
West Lodge Farm Park, in Desborough, will have an Easter egg hunt, egg and spoon races, Easter bonnet making, egg painting and a chance for visitors to pet the animals. Events at the farm on Easter Sunday and Monday are the most popular of the year.
Mo Dee, from West Lodge Farm Park, said: “We have the Easter egg hunt which involves children chasing a six-foot Easter bunny around our lawn area, collecting eggs as they go.
“There will be egg and spoon races and children can come along and make Easter bonnets, which will be judged with prizes for the best.
“People can bottle-feed our lambs and our chicks are one-week-old and people can cuddle them.
“We also have newborn calves and piglets.
“Even if the weather is bad, all the petting sessions are under cover – one year it snowed but we still had the Easter egg hunt.
“It’s the busiest time of the year, we get about 600 visitors on both days.”
