Do you know an amazing fact about the Kettering area or are you aware of a celebrity who went to school in the area?
If so, the organisers of the first Kettering Culture Walk, which takes place on Sunday, August 18, are eager to hear from you.
The event, which is sponsored by The Lighthouse theatre and supported by the Northants Telegraph and Connect FM, will see walkers take on a four-mile route from Kettering’s Market Place to The Masque theatre in Barton Seagrave, where there will be a family fun day.
As well as people to take part in the walk, organiser Gregg Nunney said he is eager for people to learn something fascinating about the place they call home.
He said: “The route will take in lots of Kettering’s culture and history.
“Along the route there will be quizzes and questions about the town and area’s heritage.”
Although there is no fee to take part in the walk, people are being asked to make a donation – which will be split between the Help for Heroes charity and two good causes supported by Kettering mayor Keli Watts.
