The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance is hosting an open day at Sywell Aerodrome between 10am and 4pm on Friday, April 22, as part of a volunteer recruitment day.
The air ambulance is opening up their annual volunteer conference to anyone and everyone who might be interested in helping their local lifesaving charity keep their helicopters flying.
The conference will take place in Sywell Aerodrome, with Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance operating from the hangars there for the day – allowing volunteers and supporters to see their air ambulance in action.
Attendees will have the chance to meet the crews who save lives locally, learn more about the charity and take part in a number of activities on the day. Refreshments and lunch are also provided.
To reserve a place at the Volunteer Conference 2016, supporters should get in touch with Kate Sawyer by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling the charity directly on 08454 130999*.
Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance goes out on approximately 900 missions a year, each costing an average of £1,700. They receive no government funding and rely completely on the generosity of the public to keep their service flying.
