The Ferrers School’s headteacher has praised students collecting their GCSE results today.

A number of subjects at the school, in Queensway, Higham Ferrers, this year saw better results than ever before.

Headteacher Jonathan Giles said: “At GCSE, results improved significantly on last year with some subjects recording their best ever results.

“The school was buzzing with happy students on results day, with the following students among those who achieved especially well: Ellie Nelson-Coles, Elouise Allibone, Jamie Capper, Amy Wrisdale, Emma Chambers, Louise Hammond and Dana Millington-Wooding.

“We congratulate all our students on their achievements which come about from hard work, and strong support from their teachers and parents. All these exams are, of course, their passport to the next steps in their educational careers and we wish them all every success for the future.”
