Students at Lodge Park Academy in Corby were celebrating after receiving their GCSE results today.
The academy has seen an increase in students receiving 5 A*-C grades, including maths and English, over the last two years.
Among those picking up their results were Lydia Rutherford, Sophie Savage, Grainne Friel, Nathan Clark, Noel Fombanu, Jake Hampson and Wiktoria Penar who secured nearly 75 A* and As between them.
Alison Hayes, principal of the academy, which joined the David Ross Education Trust (DRET) in January 2013, said: “I would like to congratulate all our students on their achievements. While it has been a tough year for many schools across the country I am pleased that we have been able to maintain the progress that has been made.
“One of the most pleasing aspects of our results is that the progress our students are making is improving. This shows that we are helping not just our most able students, but every single young person who walks through our doors.
“I am delighted to see our English is up from last year and we have had brilliant results in art and religious studies as well.
“This is an exciting time for our academy as we embark on our second full academic year with DRET. We are currently building a new state of the art dining, sports and learning area, which will only benefit students studying with us.
