Students and staff at Sir Christopher Hatton Academy are celebrating their hard work and commitment, with its principal welcoming what she described as another excellent set of GCSE results.
Vicky Bishop said the results again placed the Wellingborough academy in the top quarter of similar schools.
“Our results this year are fantastic,” Mrs Bishop added. “Many students have surpassed expectations and I would like to congratulate all of them and thank staff and parents for the support they have offered.
“Ninety-three per cent achieved five or more GCSE passes at grades A*-C with 61 per cent of our students achieving five or more GCSEs at grades A*-C including English and mathematics. The academy is particularly proud that these impressive GCSE results place us in the top 25 per cent of similar schools for the third consecutive year.
“As a specialist Mathematics and Computing Academy, the mathematics results are particularly pleasing with three quarters of students achieving grades A*-C, and a number successfully completing the challenging further maths qualification, achieving grades as high as A*.”
