Students at Pitsford School were celebrating after an impressive 65.5 per cent of pupils were awarded an A or A* in Mathematics.
The number of students achieving at least five A*-C grades rose to 83.9 per cent, while 31.8 per cent of all grades were awarded an A or A*.
The school’s highest achieving pupil was Sam Tucker, who received six A*s, three As and a distinction in ICT.
He said: “The teachers at Pitsford School have been really caring and supportive and helped me achieve these grades.
“I’ve been at Pitsford School since Year 7 and there’s a real sense of community.
“Now the wait for my GCSE results is over, I’m looking forward to studying maths, chemistry, physics and biology at A-level in the sixth form.”
Also achieving good marks was Amber Parry, whose grades included two A*s, three As and a distinction in ICT.
