Oundle School pupils have secured another excellent set of results at GCSE level.
A total of 85.9 per cent of grades were A* or A, just 0.1 per cent behind the school’s record for results day.
The proportion of A* grades was 53.3 per cent, which is the third year running that more than half of all grades have been A*.
Girls averaged 60 per cent for A* and more than 90 per cent for A* and A.
And performance was strong across all subjects with RS (75 per cent), Mathematics (65 per cent) and the Sciences (61 per cent) all topping 60 per cent for A* grades.
A total of 24 pupils achieved at least 10 A* grades.
Six pupils achieved 11 A* grades (Monica Dahiya, Harry Lawes, Sofia Lyall, Laura Mangiavacchi, Sammy Shair, Sofya Shchukina and Christopher Titcomb) with Sofya achieving 13 A* grades.
Staff said they were delighted that their pupils have performed so well in all public examinations.
Headmaster Charles Bush said: “These results are outstanding once again and represent great achievement in all subjects.
“These pupils have worked extremely hard and fully deserve these tremendous results.
“Coupled with the excellent A-level performance last week, these results confirm Oundle’s position as an academic leader within the independent educational sector.”
