A gang of six attacked and tried to rob a man in Corby.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident which took place between 8pm and 8.20pm on Tuesday, October 9, at the junction of Faulster Road and Copenhagen Road in the town.

A police spokesman said: “An 18-year-old man was approached by six men who struck him to the ground and demanded that he empty his pockets.

“They searched his pockets which were empty and nothing was stolen.”

The offenders were aged about 16 and wore dark clothes and scarves across their faces.
