A team of fundraisers will be in festive fancy dress as they walk from Corby to Kettering to deliver presents to children in hospital this Christmas.

The Santa charity walk will start at midday on Christmas Eve from the Viking Club in Corby and will see the team of six making their way to the Skylark ward at Kettering General Hospital.

They will be delivering Christmas presents to youngsters on the children’s ward.

Cliff Morton, Dan (Lee) Dare, Dave McHugh, Mick Willey, Richard Brickstock and Ronan Keegans will be taking on the walking challenge, going via Great Oakley and Geddington before arriving in Kettering.

Each team member is collecting sponsorship or people can leave sponsorship behind the bar at the Viking Club.

People can also show their support by making a donation online at https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/KGHSantawalk.

A message on the team’s Justgiving page says: “Hopefully the gifts will help cheer up the children who are unfortunate enough to be in hospital over the Christmas period.”

A number of people have pledged their support on the Justgiving page and left good luck messages, including MP for Corby and East Northants Tom Pursglove, who said: “A fantastic effort for a fantastic cause.”

All proceeds from the walk will go to www.thecharitypot.co.uk.
