Fundraisers turned out in force for a sponsored walk around Corby boating lake to support a charity which helped the parents of little boy born with partial paralysis.
Danielle McGurk and David Rodgers were devastated when their son Olly was diagnosed with hemiplegia and doctors said there was no way of knowing how he would be affected by the condition which could prevent him walking or crawling.
Olly, 16 months, has just started crawling and Danielle, 24, of Pascal Close, Corby, organised a series of fundraising events this month to support the charity Hemihelp which has helped the family.
On Saturday (October 26) staff, parents and children from Little Learners Nursery, in Occupation Road, Corby, where Danielle works, donned their pyjamas to take part in the sponsored walk in aid of the charity.
Danielle said: “The walk went amazingly well and more than 70 people turned up to show their support. I would like to thank everyone who supported all the fundraising events.”
