People turned out for a fun day which raised cash to help improve life for a little boy who cannot talk or walk.
Ben Talbot, of Finedon, has global development delay and is unable to walk or speak due to his undiagnosed condition.
Finedon Buffs is raising cash for Ben’s appeal all this year and has already raised more than £4,000.
The group held its annual family fun day to raise more cash at Finedon Dolben Cricket Club on Sunday, August 19.
Mick Webb, from Finedon Buffs, said: “A few weeks ago we had a wheelchair push around the village green in Finedon, we did very well at that. We are just keeping it going all year. We want to raise as much as we can.
“Ben can’t walk, he can’t talk, but he is a lovely little chap.”
Finedon Buffs secretary Andrew Hawkes said: “We chose to raise money for Ben because it’s a local cause, it’s something on our doorstep we can identify with.
“This is the fourth year we’ve held our family fun day – it started small and expands every year.
“Providing we have good weather, people will come down.”
Attractions at the event included a coconut shy, stocks where visitors could ‘Soak a Buff’, bouncy castles, stalls, a tin can alley, vintage vehicles, a tug of war competition, hook a duck and a barbecue.
