Police investigating a serious road accident on the A508 near Kelmarsh are continuing to appeal for witnesses.

They would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have seen a cyclist on a silver mountain bike riding on the A508, in Kelmarsh or Arthlingworth, before the collision which took place at about 6.20pm on Saturday, June 21.

A 15-year-old boy was riding a silver pedal cycle when he collided with a blue Volkswagon Caddy, driven by a 26-year-old woman, on the A508, at the junction with the Arthingworth turn.

The teenager was taken to University Hospital Coventry by air ambulance with life-threatening head injuries.

The motorist was taken to the same hospital by land ambulance where she was treated for minor injuries.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who may have any information regarding it.
