Four teenagers were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the neck and chest.

Emergency services were called to Kettering Station on Saturday night after reports that a man had been stabbed.

Four people were arrested following the incident, including two people from Wellingborough and a 15-year-old boy from Corby.

A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said: “We were called to Kettering station shortly after 9.30pm on Saturday, August 1, after reports that a man had been stabbed.

“Officers attended, as did colleagues from Northamptonshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service, and discovered an 18-year-old man with stab wounds.

“He was taken to Kettering General Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his chest and neck, and subsequently discharged.

“A 19-year-old man from Wellingborough, an 18-year-old man from Croydon, a 16-year-old boy from Wellingborough, and a 15-year-old boy from Corby were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

“They have been bailed, pending further enquiries, until Wednesday, October 14.”
