Florist hoping new business will blossom and bloom

A new 1950s-style florist and gift shop has opened in Wellingborough.

After having advised other florists over the years, Cat Green decided to use her expertise by opening her own shop and combining it with her love of the 1950s.

She held the official opening of Rockabilly Rose in Cambridge Street, which will be selling hand-made and vintage items to complement her selection of fresh flowers, on Saturday, June 28.

Cat said: “I love the industrial chic look from the 1950s and that is what I wanted to replicate in the shop.”

Ria Chambers, who owns the vintage tearoom Ria’s Rosy Lee in Cambridge Street and has been helping Cat with the shop’s launch, said: “This is becoming a real vintage hub in Wellingborough.”
