Floral tributes have been left at war memorials across north Northamptonshire in memory of Drummer Lee Rigby.
The 25-year-old soldier with the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers was murdered in Woolwich, south-east London, last week.
His death has prompted people from Northamptonshire to lay flowers at local war memorials in his memory.
Harry Graham, vice president of the Rushden branch of the British Legion, said: “It’s very sad, but it’s a nice thing for people to do. It shows their appreciation for people who have done things for their country.
“It’s such a tragic thing to have happened and everyone from the Rushden branch of the Royal British Legion sends their best wishes to his family.”
