The car park and the playground at Stanwick Lakes, off the A45, were flooded at the beginning of the week but plenty of facilities remained open for visitors, including the visitors centre, the Heritage Trail and the assault course.

Today, Wednesday, July 18, staff have revealed the car park and the adventure playground are now open again.

However the advised that wellies are still needed for anyone wanting to use the adventure trail and the northern part of the railway line.

Stanwick Lakes is also gearing up for its latest outdoor theatre performance which will take place at the end of the month.
