Firefighters helping to cut man from car after crash on the A45

Firefighters are helping to cut a man from a car after a crash on the A45.

The crash, which happened on the Westbound carriageway between Earls Barton and the Ecton Brook turning, was reported at 5.50pm today (Saturday, June 2).

Giving an update at 6.10pm, watch manager Thom Stitt at county fire control said: “One person is presently trapped in a vehicle and firefighters are currently trying to free him using hydraulic rescue equipment.”

Crews from Wellingborough and Moulton Way stations and the technical rescue vehicle from Mereway station were all called to the scene of the crash.
