Fire crews put out Wellingborough roof blaze

Two fire crews were called to a blaze at a house after the roof was accidentally set on fire by a soldering iron.

Firefighters attended the blaze on Tennyson Road, Wellingborough, at 10.45am on Monday, April 8, and used one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.

The fire caused severe damage to a quantity of insulation, roof timbers and felt at the property.
