Firefighters from Kettering and Burton Latimer have attended a fire at Weetabix this afternoon, Saturday, June 9.
The fire broke out on a production line at the Burton Latimer factory at about 2.30pm.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The fire involved a piece of machinery called a Cyclone Hopper and waste dust.
“Our firefighters used a hose reel jet, a triple extension ladder and thermal imaging equipment and wore breathing apparatus during the incident.
“The cause of the fire was down to a build up of dust. No one was injured during the incident and the fire did not spread beyond the piece of machinery.”
The firefighters had left the scene by about 3.45pm.
